Our Rooms
Our baby rooms provide a stimulating and caring home from home environment for babies from 3 months.
We plan and provide activities that will ensure your child's developmental needs are of upmost importance.
In Mini Merlin's & Merlin's we adhere to your routine to make the transition from home to Nursery as smooth as possible.
We ask you to provide nappies, wipes and cream for your child.
We have a 3 stage weaning menu, that is extremely nutritious and well balanced and will introduce your babies to a variety of tastes and textures.
Your child will be assigned a keyperson after their settling in visits to assure that they develop a special bond.
There is less organised play in the babies' room compared with other rooms in the nursery, as the babies' own routine is followed.
Baby Sleep Rooms
The nursery has specific baby sleep rooms available and also rest areas.
The 2 to 3 year old children are based in our Guinevere’s room. In Guinevere's the children are encouraged to develop, independence by promoting self care skills, confidence within peer groups and exploration within role play and simple learning opportunities.
The children enjoy a free flow system where they can explore the indoor and outdoor environment.
We also provide French lessons which the children enjoy on a weekly basis.
From the moment children arrive, there will be a real choice of activities set out with materials that vary throughout the year. The pre-school rooms offer a wide range of resources set out in an attractive and varied way. Children will learn through a combination of planned activities, play and first hand experiences.
Our older children in the nursery are based in our pre school, which is named Arthurs and Arthurs class.
In Arthurs, the children are encouraged to develop their independence by allowing free choice of resources and ongoing access to a variety of fun, age appropriate activities. Stories are enjoyed by the children whilst the adult uses puppets, props and tone to make the story come alive. A range of mark making resources are on offer for the children to choose from and create their own unique artwork.
In Arthurs Class the children are preparing for their transition to school. Camelot develops children's phonic knowledge and each child has a weekly reading book to take home. Children have access to a range of learning opportunities through games, peer interaction during role play, real life experiences when going on outings and children take part in mini fun lessons during group circle time.
